TCPA Consent & Communications Policy
What you agree to when you give us your phone number or email — and exactly how to opt out at any time.
Effective date: July 30, 2026
What This Page Is
The federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) requires companies to obtain your express prior written consent before contacting your mobile phone using automated dialing technology, artificial or prerecorded voices, or SMS marketing. This page explains exactly what you consent to when you submit a form on this site or otherwise give us your phone number or email, and how to withdraw consent whenever you want.
Your Consent — Plain English
When you submit the contact form, call us, text us, email us, or otherwise provide your phone number or email address to Columbia Septic Tanks, you expressly consent to be contacted by:
- Columbia Septic Tanks and its representatives, including any automated call-handling or SMS system used on our behalf
- The independent licensed contractors we match with your request
- Our third-party financing partners, if you asked us about monthly payment options
These parties may contact you by:
- Telephone calls, including those placed with an automatic telephone dialing system, artificial voice, prerecorded voice, or AI voice agent
- SMS or MMS text messages, including messages sent with automated technology
Contact may include quote follow-ups, appointment scheduling, service updates, financing information you requested, and related marketing about septic services. Contact may occur even if the phone number you provided is on a state, federal, or corporate Do-Not-Call list — because you gave us direct consent above.
Consent Is Not a Condition of Purchase
You are not required to agree to receive autodialed or prerecorded calls or texts in order to buy any goods or services. If you would prefer to receive information without automated calls or texts, email contact@columbiaseptictanks.com with your name and phone number and we will contact you manually.
Message Frequency & Rates
- Message frequency depends on your request — expect roughly 1–10 messages per quote thread, more if you have an urgent situation or multiple follow-up questions.
- Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
- Some calls may be answered or placed by an AI voice agent that captures details and routes you to a live contractor.
- Calls may be recorded for quality, training, and record-keeping where permitted by law. South Carolina is a one-party consent state; where a stricter rule applies, we obey the stricter rule.
How to Opt Out
Text Messages (SMS)
Reply STOP to any text message from us to stop further SMS from that sender. Reply HELP for help. Stopping SMS from us does not automatically stop SMS from any third-party contractor or lender we referred you to — each sender is a separate business and you may need to reply STOP to each.
Phone Calls
Ask any caller (human or automated) to add you to our Do-Not-Call list, or email contact@columbiaseptictanks.com with the subject line “Do Not Call” and include the phone number(s) to remove. We will process the request within 10 business days.
Every marketing email from Columbia Septic Tanks includes an Unsubscribe link at the bottom. You may also reply “UNSUBSCRIBE” or email contact@columbiaseptictanks.com. We honor CAN-SPAM opt-outs within 10 business days as required by law.
All Channels at Once
To opt out of all marketing communications (calls, texts, and emails) from Columbia Septic Tanks, email contact@columbiaseptictanks.com with the subject line “Opt out — all channels” and include your name, phone number, and email address. Opt-outs do not affect transactional messages strictly necessary to complete a request you already made (for example, confirming a scheduled appointment).
Third Parties We Referred You To
When we introduce you to an independent contractor or financing partner, that party has its own privacy policy, its own consent record with you, and its own opt-out process. Opting out with us does not automatically opt you out with them. Typically you can opt out by replying STOP to their messages, clicking Unsubscribe in their emails, or contacting them directly. If you have trouble opting out from a partner, email us and we will help.
Recordkeeping
We keep a record of your consent (including the date, the channel used, and the wording shown to you) for as long as required to demonstrate TCPA compliance.
Complaints
If you believe you received a call or text from us or a partner after opting out, please tell us right away at contact@columbiaseptictanks.com so we can investigate and correct it. You may also file a complaint with the Federal Communications Commission at fcc.gov or the Federal Trade Commission at reportfraud.ftc.gov.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this TCPA Consent page from time to time; the effective date above will change when we do. If you continue to use the site after changes take effect, your consent continues to apply on the updated terms — but you can always withdraw consent using the opt-out steps above.
