Accessibility Statement

Our commitment
Columbia Septic Tanks aims to make this website accessible to visitors with disabilities. We follow Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA guidance where practical, and we treat accessibility as a continuous improvement effort rather than a one-time compliance check.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML structure with clear headings and landmarks so assistive technology can navigate the content.
- Alt text on informational images so screen-reader users can access the same information.
- Sufficient color contrast on body text and interactive elements per WCAG 2.1 AA requirements.
- Keyboard-navigable forms and menus so users who don't use a mouse can complete actions.
- Text is scalable via browser zoom without loss of content, up to 200% at minimum.
- Forms use clear labels and error messages so submission is straightforward.
- Interactive elements have focus states so keyboard users can see what element has focus.
Known limitations
Some content — particularly older documents linked from this site or third-party embedded content — may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA. Where this is the case, alternative access is available on request.
